Welcome to my Blog!
My name is Frances Marron  and I love the excitement and joy that surround wedding days!  I am a creative and free-spirited woman that has a lot of energy and love for the world.  I believe strongly in the law of attraction and that everything in the world happens for a positive reason.  I live just north of Denver across the street from beautiful Standley Lake with my two dogs/children, Cheyenne and Charlie Brown.  I love living in Colorado near most of my family and am borderline obsessed with snowboarding and the mountains. I hope you enjoy my photo-journal of all the weddings and other photo shoots I do for both business and pleasure. Your comments are welcome!

One of my favorite things about my job is when I get to photograph a couple that is as free and easy together as Kevin and Katherine are!  We had so much fun running around for their Boulder engagement photos starting at my (and their) alma-mater, CU, then up and down the busy Pearl Street Mall, and finishing up at Chautauqua Park with views of the stunning flatirons.  We spent about two hours together just laughing and goofing around and we got some amazing images for their engagement signature book that I will be creating for their wedding guests to sign.  This is becoming a very popular product and it's always fun to extend the engagement session in order to get more variety for the book.  Katherine and Kevin are SO fabulous together and I am so so excited for their July wedding in Colorado Springs. Thank you again for finding me and for being such great sports! Seriously can not WAIT for your big day!!  It'll be here before we know it.  :-)

I take it as a wonderful compliment when a couple books me to photograph their wedding without meeting me first.  Laura & Dennis found me on the Lodge at Vail's preferred vendor list which obviously lends me a dose of credibility, but still, their trust in who I am and what I am about as a person and as a photographer really means a lot to me!  This adorable couple lives and works in New York, but are having their wedding this July in Vail.  I am SO looking forward to it!  Laura and Dennis and I met for the first time a few weeks ago at Hudson Garden in Denver to take their Denver engagement photos. I must admit, I had sort of forgotten what a great location Hudson Gardens is. There are lots of great little spots for photography and we had beautiful soft light, even if it was a "tad" chilly for a May afternoon in Colorado.  They were both great sports and cooperated with all the goofy things I was asking them to do- just to mix it up, break the ice, and get a sense of their personalities before the big day this summer.  I was really happy to find that we had an easy and relaxed connection and after meeting them I know the wedding is going to be amazing!  Thanks again Laura for choosing me sight unseen!  I love your trust in me!  When my clients really trust me, I am able to be my most creative self. :-)

Another super fun couple and another gorgeous wedding in summit county to look forward too! Yippee!  Kristyn and David are getting married at Copper Mountain on June 25th this year & I can't wait to photograph this Colorado mountain wedding! I can already tell that David and Kristyn are going to have a fabulous ceremony AND a killer party with loads of energy coming from themselves as well as all their friends & family that are coming from far and near to celebrate their love and their future together.  I'm sure it gets a little redundant to read over and over again how much I love my couples... but I just can't help it because I really DO enjoy all the different people that I attract and that are attracted to me and my photography so much!  Krystin and David and I share a lot of similar interests...a love of the Colorado mountains, snowboarding, good food, photography & black labs; just to name just a few. ;-)  We spent about two hours together wandering around a deserted copper mountain village and then found a great spot higher up the mountain to catch the sunset for all of their engagement photos.  This is another pair I am definitely happy to call friends.  Kristyn and David, thanks again for choosing me as your photographer.  Your big day is just around the corner now!  I'm so excited...

I am so excited about Christine and Mike's wedding which will be taking place at the Denver Ritz-Carlton on June 4th of this year.  Heather Allen from Table 6 Productions is producing and coordinating this fabulous affair and it is sure to be extraordinary!  I've had so much fun getting to know both Christine and Mike over the course of the last year and thinking about it reminds me how important the connection between my clients and myself truly is.  When there is good chemistry and an easy connection, the expressions and body language that make beautiful images comes out so wonderfully naturally. When I met them both about nine months ago we were total strangers.  And now, as we are coming up on their wedding in just a few weeks, I feel like I will be photographing the wedding of friends.  :-)  I am truly grateful to do the work that I do photographing weddings.  I realize that I'm not exactly saving lives, but creating art and beauty for myself and others to share with the world and to keep close to their hearts and in their families forever is a wonderful thing...and, a far cry from any ordinary "job" I might have found myself in before I found the courage to follow my heart and become a photographer.

In addition to their engagement photos in downtown Denver, I also had a blast doing both a Love the Dress (bridal portraits) session and boudoir photoshoot with Christine at Crooked Willow Farms.
