Welcome to my Blog!
My name is Frances Marron  and I love the excitement and joy that surround wedding days!  I am a creative and free-spirited woman that has a lot of energy and love for the world.  I believe strongly in the law of attraction and that everything in the world happens for a positive reason.  I live just north of Denver across the street from beautiful Standley Lake with my two dogs/children, Cheyenne and Charlie Brown.  I love living in Colorado near most of my family and am borderline obsessed with snowboarding and the mountains. I hope you enjoy my photo-journal of all the weddings and other photo shoots I do for both business and pleasure. Your comments are welcome!

Kaitlyn Hagar & Lonnie Jacobs are a couple of mine getting married this fall that I am super excited about working with!  Allison Salvati, a coordinator at Table 6 Productions, sent this adorable bride-to-be and her mom to meet with me a few weeks ago and we had instant chemistry.  I love it when that happens...  because it usually means I am making a new friend too.

In addition to being one of the most adorable couples I have ever seen, Kaitlyn and Lonnie have an equally adorable history.  They met in high-school and have been together ever since (about 7 years!).  When Kaitlyn told me they got engaged at the City Park in Fort Collins, I suggested doing their engagement photos there.  It was (literally) the perfect venue for them and I always love shooting in a new place. Win-win!  I really loved that they brought their puppies with them as I am always a fan of the dogs. Layla and Winston were very good babies.  I especially liked Layla's pink toenails.  Oh, I also loved that the bench swing they got engaged on is dedicated to someone named "Frances." :-)  We had a great time together despite the slightly rainy day we had to work with, the images are gorgeous, and I can't wait to photograph their wedding.  It's going to be amazing...

Jess and Jim are dear friends of mine that have been around for lots of life's up's and down's through the entire decade called our "twenties." Phew, thank God we all survived that! Good thing too, because now we get to be 30-somethings together which is WAY more grown up and mature. Right?  ;-) Jess is not only a friend, but she has also stepped up to the challenge of managing me this year (yes, me!) and as a result, I have been able to make new goals for myself, both personally and professionally, that I am SO excited about moving forward into 2011 with.  She has been instrumental in my full acceptance of the need for a team of powerful people around me.  In order to create my reality and business the way I want it to be, I need help. There is just no way to do it all alone.  Knowing what you need help with in life is not a weakness, it's actually a strength!  So, thank you to Jess for helping me come into that space more gracefully this year,  and for ALL the wonderful things you have brought and continue to bring to my life!! Some of my more recent and exciting memories with Jess and Jim involve flying down mountains, back-country skiing & snowboarding in dangerously deep and oh-so-lovely powder fields.  More Please! XOX  Now check out these gorgeous shots of them at Red Rocks with their kiddo, Nikko, the smiling dog.  :-)

Have I mentioned that I love to fly??  Oh good, so I don't have to repeat myself.  Except, oh...  oh I just want to!!!  Hot diggity dog, I LOVE to fly!  I was surely a bird (or maybe a flying dragon) in one of my past lives because the thrill of it never gets old. Flying always makes me happy... Unless of course we happen to be talking about a commercial flight with a middle seat in row that doesn't recline surrounded by small children...  Hmm, perhaps I should clarify, I love flying in SMALL PRIVATE airplanes. Yes, much better.  :-) Our handsome groom-to-be, Ben, is a seasoned pilot and Katie loves to fly with him (I can't blame her- that's so hot!).  When we met, the three of us made all sorts of plans to fly east to an old abandoned barn to do some special engagement pics with the airplane out on the plains...but the weather was determined to stop us that day. We met at Rocky Mountain Metro airport just north of my house at about 6 am and had a beautiful (albeit short) flight around boulder.  Turns out that we were blocked to both the east by low thick cloud cover, and to the west by snow-storms.  We made the most of what time we had anyway and have rescheduled the 'big idea', which is lucky for me because it means I get to go flying again AND complete my photographic vision with this gorgeous couple at the old barn out in the middle of nowhere.  Hurray!!  Have I mentioned I love to fly? ;-)

Lisa was my very first assistant here in CO and worked for me for about a year back in 2006/7.  She was a huge help and I loved having her.  She eventually moved on into her teacher career but we have stayed friends and I was thrilled when she called me to tell me that she was engaged, having a destination wedding in Mexico, and wanted me to come!  OF COURSE!  I will be there with bells on...  and very soon.  They are getting married in Cancun at the Azul Sensatori Hotel over Thanksgiving.  I am really looking forward to spending a few days over Thanksgiving this year on the beach!  Hopefully getting my tan back on. Lisa and Franco I'm so glad we were able to catch the fall colors for you for the E session.  Can't wait for the wedding!!  See you in Mexico!  Yipee!
